      Bought a a gift for a river guide friend. Boxed nice for great presentation. Engraving is clear and centered. Paracord lanyard tight and well braided. Colors compliment each other great and overall gorgeous knife. Tight hinge and lock mechanism. In the world of knock offs, is easy to recognize the real thing.

      This thing is great. The magna cut blade is super corrosion resistant. It came incredibly sharp and has maintained that edge. The lock mechanism is secure yet easy to work. Fits in a pocket well and fits in my hand well. It’s become my constant companion. It’s been everywhere from the Fl Keys and submerged in saltwater for days while sailing and fishing all the way back up to WV running around in our rivers here. As a full time guide, it’s a critical part of my daily tools.

      Every Benchmade knife begins with high-grade steel, laser-cut for precision and strength. Each blade is meticulously ground, beveled, and finished to exacting standards, ensuring exceptional performance and durability. Our handles are milled and machined in-house to the tightest tolerances, then hand-assembled and sharpened by expert technicians. With over thirty years of manufacturing excellence behind every edge, our knives are proudly crafted in our state-of-the-art facility in Oregon City, Oregon.

      APPLICATION

      Proper care and regular maintenance help make your Benchmade knife yours, for life. Here are some tips for keeping your Benchmade in peak condition:

      • Prevent Rust:All steels, regardless of grade or price, can eventually rust. To avoid corrosion, always keep your knife clean, dry, and lightly lubricated. If rust or spotting appears, a quality semi-chrome metal polish can usually restore the finish.

      • Hand-Wash Only:Always hand-wash your knife with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry thoroughly.

      • Use as Intended:Benchmade knives are precision cutting tools. Do not use your knife as a pry-bar, screwdriver, chisel, or punch—unless specifically designed for those functions.

      • Sharpen with Care:If sharpening at home, avoid grinding wheels and high-speed machinery, as they can damage the blade. Use appropriate hand-sharpening methods for best results.

      • Tighten Hardware:Over time, handle, pivot, and pocket clip screws may loosen. Use T6 and T10 Torx drivers for adjustments and apply a small amount of releasable thread-locker to maintain secure fittings.

While the CPM-MagnaCut blade steel has a high level of corrosion resistance, leaving water on the blade for long periods of time can lead to premature corrosion of the blade. Wipe the blade clean with the included cleaning cloth between uses to keep it dry and free from debris.
